Play Out The Play
Are you looking to develop your Shakespeare skills? Knowledge? Confidence? Discover a play of his you’ve never read, or revisit one of your favourites? Scaffold Shakespeare Company create a supportive inclusive space for professional theatremakers to read and explore Shakespeare’s plays. At our workshops you can ask the basic questions, obsess about the tiniest details, and make new connections with others. Open to any actor, director, designer or other theatremaker regardless of your experience with Shakespeare.
Our previous Play Out The Play workshop series The Complete Plays (2013-16), which covered every Shakespeare play in chronological order, Warring Love (March-July 2018) ROME! (September-December 2018), Walking Shadows (Jan-Feb 2019) and The Sonnets (2016-17), which concluded with Speak Low If You Speak Love (co-produced with Hampton Court Palace), were attended by over 250 theatre practitioners.
