Had gone to gaze on Cleopatra too
And made a gap in nature.”

Masterclass: “Sex and Death” – Liza Graham and Tobias Deacon

An exploration of scenes and speeches where flesh and breath combine. How do we die on stage? What is sexy? And how can we use the text to help rather than hinder such “high” things?

“I am dying, Egypt, dying; only
I here importune death awhile, until
Of many thousand kisses the poor last
I lay upon thy lips.”
